In the United States, an associate degree is a 2-year degree given by colleges upon completion of an associate degree program. To address these issues, the DOE recently issued a mandate that now requires all new, central air conditioners manufactured after January 23, 2006, to have a seasonal energy efficiency ratio (SEER) of at least 13.
