Available scholarships for college students are a great way to offset the ever-increasing costs of taking college classes.  Here’s a short list of a few available scholarships for college students you can apply for to finance your education.  Getting scholarships can be a numbers game, so apply to as many as you can for a better chance to get more money.

Available to most students is the $10,000 scholarship drawing at freecollegescholarships.net.  To be eligible to register for the scholarship you need to live in the United States and be at least 18 years of age or older.  A quick and easy registration form on their site is all it takes for you to enter the scholarship drawing.  Before the next drawing happens, don’t forget to register on the site for your chance to win.

The Alberta and Leslie Farrington Scholarship was established in 1972 to provide scholarship support for ASU students.  To be eligible to apply, you need to have a grade point average of 2.0 or better.  You also need to be enrolled full-time, which means 12 hours per semester or more, and you also need to be an Arizona resident.  Students who apply need to demonstrate financial need as shown with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.  Students can either be graduaing high school seniors or any current college undergraduate students.

Make sure to market yourself well in your application.  The application is just like a job application, you want to appear as well-suited for the job, or scholarship, as you can and the more that you seem well-suited for the better your chances are for getting that scholarship.
